COVID-19 CLEANING PROCEDURES

Our #1 priority has always been to provide a clean, safe and welcoming environment to our guests in all our homes. As we continue to remain committed to our guests during these unprecedented times, we have now implemented a new and improved cleaning & sanitizing procedure that adheres with the guidelines set by Vacation Rental Management Association (VRMA) and Vacation Rental Housekeeping Professionals (VRHP). These guidelines are designed to follow the recommendations from the CDC and ensure that every vacation home is cleaned and sanitized to the highest standards.

Our highly trained team of housekeeping professionals follow CDC recommended protocol while cleaning and sanitizing our homes prior to your arrival that include:

  • Towels, beach towels & bed linen to be washed and dried at high temperature before every check-in.
  • High touch surfaces to be cleaned and disinfected  with hospital-grade, EPA-approved disinfectants to ensure that they are disinfected to the highest standards.
    Examples of high touch surfaces are:

    • Doorknobs
    • Stair railings
    • Appliance and cabinet handles
    • Light / fan switches
    • Remote controls
    • Television buttons
    • Game consoles
    • Sliding door handles
    • Telephones
    • Table tops
    • Front door keypad
    • Pool alarms (pool homes)
    • Spa dials (pool homes)
  • Low touch surfaces to be cleaned with hot water & detergent and mopped down or wiped down  from end to end.
  • Cleaning crew and maintenance staff to use new, single use PPE (face covers, gloves, shoe covers), hairnets/caps while cleaning the home and promptly discard them on exiting the property upon completion.

Once the home has been thoroughly cleaned, our usual pre-arrival inspection will be performed by our property manager to confirm that our home meets the highest standards we have set for ourselves.

COVID-19 Pool Safety

According to the Center for Disease Control (CDC), there is no evidence that COVID-19 can be spread to humans through the use of pools and hot tubs. For guests staying in our pool homes, Mickey Mouse Villa and Mickey Mouse Manor,  the pool service company, that  services our  swimming pool, is educated on staying safe and all new COVID-19 guidelines. They will utilize their own equipment and will never use any pool equipment provided at the property for guests’ use. They won’t need to touch any switches or zip timers on your pool deck. Likewise, we request guests not touch any of the outdoor pool equipment located exterior of the home such as filter, breakers, motor, valves, and heater.

 Disclaimer: As we follow the guidelines recommended by Vacation Rental Management Association, Vacation Rental Housekeeping Professionals and the Center for Disease Control, please note that we are continuing to evolve as we gain additional knowledge and guidance. Although we are taking these additional measures to disinfect all properties for guests, we cannot guarantee this will prevent guests from contracting viruses during their stay. We recommend that all guests follow the CDC guidelines for staying safe when traveling.
