What is your Cancellation Policy?

Renter may cancel a reservation at any time. Cancellation requests must be sent by email to info@mickeymousehomes.com
If a guest cancels a reservation, OR the owners have to cancel a reservation due to non-payment of the outstanding balance, the following cancellation charges will apply:

  • 60 days or more  from check-in date : Full Refund
  • Less than 60 days from check-in date : No Refund

Conditional Refund: If cancellation is less than 60 days from check-in date and we are able to rebook those dates with another booking, a refund for the days occupied by the new booking that overlaps with the cancelled booking will be issued 7 days after original check-out date.

Note: The above cancellation policy applies to bookings done on mickeymousehomes.com. For bookings through third party websites such as Airbnb or Vrbo, cancellation policy as per the rental agreement on that website will apply.

Why Book Direct?

Third Party websites Such as Airbnb & Vrbo charge a you Service Fee when you book through their website. Airbnb charges  around  14% and Vrbo charges up to 15%.
To put it in perspective, for a one week booking in one of our condos that is approximately an additional cost of around $200 in fees that you would pay. For the 5/5 pool homes that jumps to an overhead of over $350 in fees. By booking direct with us – you can save on this add-on fee charged to you by third party booking websites.

How much deposit do I need to pay to make a reservation?
  • If your check-in date is more than 60 days away, you would need to pay 25% of the total amount at the time of booking. The balance 75% is due 60 days prior to your check-in date. We will email you an invoice when your final payment is due using which you can make an online payment.
  • If your check-in date is 60 days or less from the booking date, a full payment is required at the time of booking.

For exact amounts and payment schedule, please go to the Availability page, and click on the “Book Now” button that’s below the calendar of your preferred vacation home. You will be taken to the Booking page. On the Booking page, select your travel dates in the Calendar. Scroll down to view your quote. If you are satisfied with the quote, enter your personal information, Read and Accept the Rental Agreement and Send  your Booking Request.

Once we receive your Booking Request, we will approve it within 24 hours (typically much sooner) and email you your invoice using which you can make an online payment.

What Payment Methods do you accept?

The table below highlights the Payment Methods we accept and the associated convenience fees (if any).

When you send a booking request, please mention your preferred Payment Method.

We will  accept your booking request and email you an invoice with which you could make an online payment using the payment method of your choice. Appropriate convenience fees, if any, will be added to your invoice.

Note: If you book through a third party website such as Vrbo or Airbnb, there are no credit card convenience fees. However, you will be charged an additional service fee of up to 15%.

Other than the Nightly Rental Rate are there any other charges ?

In addition to the Nightly Rental rate, the following will be added on to your final amount

  • Cleaning Fee
  • Tax 13.5 %
  • Refundable Damage Deposit
  • Pool/Spa heat (optional, for pool home) $25 per day
  • If you wish to pay by credit card, a 3% credit card convenience fee is added.

    Note: If you book through Vrbo or AirBnB, a Service fee of up to 15% is charged by that website. If you book direct with us, there is no additional service fee charged to you.

I have made a reservation in your home and made the full payment, what next?
  • A couple of weeks before you arrive, we will email you a Welcome Packet which will contain access information to our home such as our address, door code and other instructions.
  • Please carry a printout of the Welcome Letter and a valid government issued ID with you when you arrive at Windsor Hills at the beginning of your vacation.
  • Take the “Visitors” gate on the left where you will present the Welcome Letter and your ID to the security officers who will register you and issue you a Parking Permit / Gate Access Card.
  • Once registration is completed, you may enter our home using the access code provided to you in the Welcome Letter.Note: Please display the parking permit/gate access card on your vehicle’s dashboard during your stay in Windsor Hills. The gate access card needs to be scanned to open the gate both while entering and exiting the resort for the duration of your stay. It will be disabled on the evening of your check-out date.
How long before I get my damage deposit refunded?

If there was no damage done to the unit,  we will process a full refund of your damage deposit within 5 days after you check-out.

Is there an additional fee to use the resort pool & waterpark?

All resort amenities are free and included with your vacation rental!  This includes the Water Park, the Resort Pool, all Clubhouse amenities, Fitness Center, Playgrounds, Sports Park, Picnic Area, etc.

Is there a parking fee in Windsor Hills?

Parking in Windsor Hills Resort is Free!

What is the check-in and check-out time?

Your vacation home will be available for check-in at 4:00 PM ET. Check-out time is 10:00 AM ET on your date of departure. Please depart in time to give our cleaning staff ample time to prepare the home for the next guest who will arrive at 4:00 PM the same day.

Can we check-in early or check-out late?

If there is no other check-in or check-out on the day of your arrival or departure we can certainly accommodate an early check-in or late check-out request at no additional charge. However, if we have a back to back booking that day, an early check-in or late check-out will not be possible as the cleaners would need sufficient time to clean and turnover our home.

Please send us a request in advance, so we can check our calendar and schedule with the cleaning crew accordingly.

Can we arrive early in Windsor Hils and use the resort pool and water park until our home is ready for check-in at 4PM?

Absolutely! You may enter Windsor Hills any time after 11:00 AM on the day of your arrival and enjoy resort amenties until our home is ready for you to check-in at 4:00 PM.
Please do not enter the home while the cleaners are preparing the home for your check-in.

My flight lands in Orlando past midnight. Can I check-in late?

If you have a late night flight into Orlando, no worries. Our resort is manned by security officers 24×7 who will register you when you arrive at the main gates. You may head to our home and let yourself in using the door code that would have been emailed to to you in your welcome packet.

Can we use the resort pool after we’ve checked out?

Absolutely! You are welcome to enjoy the resort pool, water park and other amenities until late evening on the day of your check-out after checking out of our home. The clubhouse has restrooms with showers where you can change before you depart.

We have a late flight out of Orlando. Is there a place for us to leave our luggage after we check-out?

Windsor Hills does not offer luggage storage due to liability reasons.

What is the check-out procedure?

Prior to checking out, we request guests to do the following to help the cleaners get a head start to get our home ready for the next guests who typically may check-in at 4:00 PM the same day.

  • Replace all furniture, toys, pool toys, strollers, pack n play, crib etc back in their original place
  • Bag & dispose trash in the trash receptacle (bench) that’s outside our front door. (If there is excess trash, please dispose it in the one of the dumpsters located nearby.)
  • Load the dishwasher with all the used dishes, and turn it ON.
  • Place all used bath towels, pool towels and bed linen near the washer.
  • Sign out of Streaming services such as Netflix, Disney+ etc that you may have used on all our TVs.
  • Double-check that you’ve taken all your belongings.
  • Lock doors & windows and head home with happy memories!

    Note: There is no need to report to the reception or the security officers after you’ve check-out.

How many homes do you own in Windsor Hills?

We own six vacation rental homes in Windsor Hills Resort.

All our properties are within a 5 minute walk to the resort pool and clubhouse.

How many people can stay in the 2 bedroom condos?

Our 2 bed 2 bath condos can comfortably sleep 6 people.

How many people can stay in the 3 bedroom condos?

Our 3 bed 2 bath condos can comfortably sleep 8 people.

What is the difference between the two 2 bedroom condos – Mickey Mouse Condo and Mickey Mouse Pad?

While the decor between the two condos are quite different, both offer very similar features and have similar floor plans (mirror image). The only significant difference between the two is that Mickey Mouse Condo has an airhockey table in the kids room while Mickey Mouse Pad has a foosball table.

How many people can stay in the 5 bedroom pool homes?

Mickey Mouse Villa can sleep 12 people.

Mickey Mouse Manor can sleep 11 people + 1 infant.

What are the differences between the two 5 bedroom homes, Mickey Mouse Villa and Mickey Mouse Manor
Both are equidistant from the clubhouse and large children’s playground.

  • Two “Adult” bedrooms and Three Disney themed kids bedrooms (Mickey, Princess and Winnie the Pooh).

What if I have an issue with the accommodations during my stay?

We pride ourselves on the quality of our home and its amenities, but we do recognize that sometimes things beyond our control can occur. In the unlikely event of a problem, please do not hesitate to contact us or our property manager immediately. We are available 24×7 to assist you in case of any issues.

How far is Disney from Windsor Hills Resort?

Perhaps, this is the #1 question that we get from our guests!

Windsor Hills is the closest gated resort community to Disney!  We are around 2 miles from the main entrance of Disney World – It will  take you around 5 minutes by car to get enter Disney property from our home.

How far is Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure?

Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure are a 15-20 minute drive from our home.

How far is Orlando International Airport from Windsor Hills?

Windsor Hills is around 22 miles from Orlando International Airport. It is around a 25 minute drive (depending on traffic).

Are there grocery stores / supermarkets nearby?

The following supermarkets  are located within a 5 minute drive from our resort

  • Walmart – 0.5 miles
  • Publix – 3 miles
  • Super Target – 3 miles
  • The Marketplace & Grill @ Windsor Hills – convenience store / bar/ café/ grill in the resort clubhouse

Can I order groceries to be delivered in my vacation home?
  • Walmart provides same-day home delivery of groceries for a small fee. For more information, please visit https://grocery.walmart.com/
  • Walmart also provides free curbside pickup of groceries  ordered online . Walmart is located at 2855 N Old Lake Wilson Rd, Kissimmee, FL 34747 – which is less than 0.5 miles from our home.   For more information, please visit https://grocery.walmart.com/
  • Publix offers home delivery of groceries (powered by Instacart) for a fee. Groceries are delivered within 1 hour. For more information, please visit: www.publix.com/delivery
  • If you are an Amazon Prime member, you may use Amazon Fresh service to order groceries from Amazon or Whole Foods.

Note: Please schedule the delivery for a timeframe when you are available at home.

Are there any complimentary items provided during our stay?

For your convenience, we provide a starter supply of items as follows:

  • One small bar of soap in every bathroom
  • One toilet paper roll per bathroom
  • One roll of paper towels
  • One dish sponge
  • One dishwasher detergent tab
  • One laundry detergent sample
  • One small bottle of dish soap
  • Starter coffee packet
  • One trash bag in each receptacleThere are numerous grocery stores including a Walmart, Target and a Publix within a five minute drive from our home where you can stock up on your supplies for the duration of your stay. There is also a convenience store in the resort clubhouse where you can purchase supplies if needed.
Do you have cribs in your homes?

Yes we do!

Mickey Mouse Villa, Manor, Pad and  Farmhouse have  full sized cribs.

Mickey Mouse Condo & Cottage have “portable” cribs.

Additionally, all our properties have a pack n play as well.

What children’s gear do you have in your homes?

We have the following children’s items for your use in our home at no extra cost.

  • Several strollers and umbrella strollers
  • Crib
  • Pack n play
  • High chair
  • Child safety gate (for stairs in the pool homes)
  • Step stool
  • Children’s tables and chairs
  • Toddler bed rail  (for use with twin bed in pool home) and much more

Do the strollers recline?

The umbrella strollers that we have are standard umbrella strollers that recline at a standard angle. They do not have provision to recline flat.

Are linens and towels provided?

Yes, fresh bed linen and and ample towels are provided in our home for your use. We also provide beach towels for your use in the pool. If you are using the resort pool, we ask that you take only the beach towels to the resort pool and please refrain from taking bath towels out of our home.

Are there laundry facilities in the home?

Yes, we have a full size washer and dryer and iron & ironing board in all our homes. Clothes drying rack to dry wet towels used at the pool also provided.

Guest is responsible to purchase laundry detergent and other supplies.

Do the washers in the units require Regular Soap or High Efficiency Soap?

All our homes have full size washers and dryers. All the washers use high efficiency (HE) detergent.

 

I am allergic to carpets, do your homes have carpets?

No. We DO NOT have carpets in any of our homes. We’ve got wood look tiles throughout the house (and hardwood floors upstairs for the pool home).

Is internet access available?

Yes, we provide complimentary high speed  wireless internet in all our homes.
The resort pool & clubhouse area has complimentary high speed wireless internet for all guests of the resort.

Is telephone service provided?

Yes, there is free local and long distance phone service within the United States provided in our home for your convenience.

Do you have ceiling fans in your homes?

Yes, all the bedrooms, living rooms and screened-in patios/lanais in our homes have ceiling fans.
Additionally, there are a few portable tower fans in the pool homes for your convenience.

Are the private game rooms in your pool homes air-conditioned?

Yes, the private game room in Mickey Mouse Villa and Mickey Mouse Manor are air-conditioned (with heat option as well).

Do you provide air conditioning and heat?

Yes, all our homes are fitted with central air conditioning / heating units.

Are your kitchens fully equipped?

Yes, all our homes have a fully equipped kitchen including cooking utensils, silverware, bakeware, dishes, many small appliances –  everything you need for the perfect vacation.

Do you have a Keurig in your homes?

Yes, we have a Keurig as well as a drip coffee maker in all our homes.

Do the refrigerators have an ice-maker?

Yes. Refrigerators in all our homes are equipped with built-in ice makers.

Are hairdryers provided?

Yes. Every bathroom in all our homes is equipped with its own hairdryer.

What kind of mattresses do you have?

All beds in our homes have the highest quality memory foam mattresses.

Master bedrooms  have 12 inch memory foam mattresses, while the kids bedrooms have 8 and 10 inch mattresses. All mattresses were purchased when we renovated our homes.

Do you have night lamps in the bedrooms?

Yes. We have night lamps / night lights in all bedrooms, living area and hallways in our homes.

Do you provide BBQ Grills in your homes?

POOL HOMES: In our pool homes, Mickey Mouse Villa and Mickey Mouse Manor we provide Gas BBQ grills with complimentary propane.

CONDOS: Grills are not permitted to be used anywhere in the condo buildings including the lanais as per the Florida State Fire Marshal.

You are free to use the BBQ grills and picnic tables in the picnic area near the tennis courts/volley ball courts on a first come first serve basis. No reservations are required. Guests must provide their own charcoal,  lighter fluid and other accessories.

Is the home cleaned daily?

There is no daily housekeeping service provided in the rental rate. Before check-in, the home will be thoroughly cleaned and inspected by a professional cleaning company and clean sheets and towels will be provided. Mid-stay cleaning services during your stay can be requested for an additional fee.

Do your homes have fire extinguishers?

Yes, All our homes are equipped with Fire Extinguishers.
In the condos you will find the fire extinguisher in the entryway, right next to the front door.
In the pool homes, there are two fire extinguishers – one on each floor. The first floor fire extinguisher can be found in the kitchen. The second floor fire extinguisher will be on the landing at the top of the stairs.

I understand all your homes have a number lock. Is my door access code shared with other guests?

Your door access code that will be emailed to you is a unique code created specifically for you. It will be enabled shortly before you check-in and it will be disabled immediately after you check-out.

The gate pass issued by the security officers  when you arrive for the first time will be disabled the day after you check-out and you will no longer be able to enter the resort using an expired gate pass.

What safety features do the pool homes have?

All main rooms have wired smoke detectors.  The pool has a security fence around it to keep children safe, and this must be kept secure at all times to comply with Florida state law. The sliding glass door leading into the pool area is equipped with hardwired child safety alarm as an added security measure.

Are there elevators in the condo buildings?

Yes. There are two elevators in every condo building which you may use.

How far is the parking lot from the condos? Are there reserved parking spaces?

There is ample parking in our resort. You will find parking spots right outside every condo building. There are no reserved parking spots. Kindly ensure that your parking permit is displayed on the dashboard while your vehicle is parked in our resort.

How many cars can be parked on the driveway of one of the 5 bedroom homes?

Depending on the size of your vehicle(s), up to 3 vehicles can be parked on the driveway of Mickey Mouse Manor or Mickey Mouse Villa. Please ensure that your vehicle does not block the sidewalk. Street side parking is not allowed.  Large vehicles that do not fit in the driveway must be parked in the overflow parking lot near the tennis courts.

We are traveling in 3 cars. Is that okay?

Absolutely. The resort allows up to 3 cars per home per reservation. Should your group have additional cars, please reach out to us prior to making your reservation and we will try to get an approval from the resort management for the additional cars.

We wish to rent two condos, how close are your condo units from each other?

Mickey Mouse Condo and Mickey Mouse Pad are on the same building / same floor. Mickey Mouse Farmhouse and Mickey Mouse Cottage are on two adjacent buildings next to the Condo and Pad’s building. All four units are within a minute’s walk from each other.

Which floors are your condos on?

Mickey Mouse Condo, Mickey Mouse Pad and Mickey Mouse Farmhouse are on the fourth floor (top-most floor).
Mickey Mouse Cottage is on the second floor.
There are two elevators in every building which you may use to access the condos.

Is smoking allowed?

All our properties non-smoking homes. There is no smoking permitted inside the unit or in the pool area / screened in lanai . If smoking is detected an extra cleaning charge will be applied.

Are pets allowed?

Unfortunately, pets are not permitted in our home. Bringing a pet into our home is a direct violation of the rental agreement and will lead to immediate termination of the agreement without any refund and also a significant extra cleaning charge will be applied.

Are the patios and lanais screened-in?

Yes. The patios in the condos and the lanai in the pool area in the pool homes are all screened in to keep the pesky bugs away!

My 4 year old is 35lbs. Normally, we don’t use strollers. But since a day at Disney involves a lot of walking, I would like to know if you have a stroller that can hold her weight?

We have several strollers that can hold a child up to 40lbs.

Do you have pool floats, pool toys & life preservers for kids in the pool homes?

In a vacation rental setting, pool toys and floats do not last more than a few weeks due to large number of people using them. As a result, we no longer provide pool toys and floats in our homes. However, you may find  pool toys or floats that have been left behind by previous guests. If you do, please inspect the pool toys or floats thoroughly for damages before using them. We ask that you discard pool toys or floats that are damaged or not in proper working condiion.

if you don’t find the right pool toys or floats in our home suitable for you or your children, we recommend that you purchase the right equipment from one of the stores nearby. All the nearby supermarkets including Walmart, Target, Pubix and Winn-Dixie carry a wide selection of pool toys and floats all year round.

I am travelling with my 3 year old twins. Do you provide double strollers?

All our condos have a double umbrella stroller as well as a single umbrella stroller. The pool homes have a number of umbrella and full sized strollers for your use.

Do I need to pay for pool heat to have only the spa / hot tub heated? (Pool Home)

The spa/hot tub in our home is a spillover spa – meaning the warm water from the spa spills over into the pool thereby heating it. Hence, you cannot heat only the spa and not the pool and as a result would need to order pool heat if you want the spa/hot tub heated.

Additional cost for pool/spa heat is $25+tax per day.

The resort spa in the clubhouse area is heated 365 days a year and no extra charge. The resort pool is heated during Winter at no extra cost to our guests.

I paid for pool heat. What if the pool heater does not function? (Pool Home)

Electrically heated pumps will warm a pool on a Florida pool home to the operating temperature of 85 degrees Fahrenheit in around 24 hours – depending upon the ambient air temperature. Please note that electrical pool heaters utilize a heat exchange pump. If the outside temperature drops below 40 degrees Fahrenheit, then the pool heater will not operate, and the pool will not be heated. If the overnight temperature drops below 40, the pool may not be able to return to the operating temperature range during the following day. In such a case, the money that you were charged for pool heat (only) for that day will be refunded on request.

All guests should note that pool heat cannot be guaranteed, as sometimes mechanical devices fail, or environmental factors will not allow the pools to be heated. Guests must notify the management company / owners of failure of pool heat on the day, so that the temperature or the equipment can be checked by a pool technician. In the event that pool heat purchased by the guest fails to heat the pool to the specified temperature range between 75-85 degrees Fahrenheit, we will refund the pool heat for the days it is not provided on request.

In the pool home, what temperature is the pool heat set to?

If pool/spa heat is paid for in advance,  pool temperature will be set to 88 degrees Fahrenheit (30 degrees Centigrade) and Spa will be set to 102 degrees Fahrenheit (39 degrees Centigrade)

Will the heated private pool cool down overnight? (Pool Home)

Yes, the pool heaters operate on a timer and are set to be turned ON in the morning and go OFF in the evening, there will be some cooling off overnight when the air temperature drops. In the coldest winter months heating the pool can be a problem, with the water temperature dropping down overnight. Florida has a temperate climate but we do get cold fronts coming in from the north that can bring overnight low temperatures in the 30’s and 40’s – these can last for several days. Unfortunately under these circumstances there is no way the pool heater will be able to keep the water at 86 degrees.  Electric heating pumps do not operate effectively below this temperature, and failure of such devices to heat the pool to the desired temperature is outside of our control, and is regarded as an act of nature. Please note that cold weather does not constitute a mechanical failure and no refunds will be given for problems that are due to cold weather.

Is the pool cleaned when we are there?

Yes, the pool is checked and cleaned on a weekly basis for your safety.  There may be a short period after chemicals are added when you cannot use the pool.  You must allow the maintenance people in to the pool area to clean and maintain the pool.  Please also try to keep the pool and the pool deck clean – especially free of sun tan lotion which can tend to make the pool deck very slippery.

Can I order packages from Amazon or other websites and have them delivered at the home?

Yes. You most certainly can. Please ensure that your packages arrive during the timeframe of  your stay in our home. Even if you are at the parks or outside on the day it is delivered, not to worry. It will usually be dropped off outside our front door by most carriers unless your sender has explicitly requested a signature on delivery (which is very rare, unless it is very expensive item).  From our experience, we have not had issues with items that are dropped off outside our door being “taken accidentally” by anyone else. However, we will not take responsibility for items that go missing if left outside.

If you have Amazon Prime, most items that qualify for Prime are delivered “Same day” or within 1 business day since the Amazon Distribution Center is less than 10 miles from our home.

Can you hold packages for me before I arrive?

Certainly. Your packages can be shipped to our management company’s office and they will deliver it to your vacation home when you arrive. The management charges a $5 handling fee per package/box for this service. Please contact us a few weeks prior to your arrival to get their mailing address so you can schedule the delivery.

I do not wish to drive in Orlando. Is Uber a good idea?

While driving your own car is the best way to get to and from theme parks (especially if you are traveling with young kids and are on a very tight timeline). Ride sharing services such as Uber or Lyft is definitely a good alternative for those who do not wish to drive. Uber / Lyft is more economical than taking a taxi or a shuttle to the parks.

One-way fare from Orlando International Airport to our resort by Uber/Lyft is approximately $30.  One way from our home to Disney could cost you between $6 and $15 depending on which park you are going to.

Can I order food to be delivered to my vacation home?

Yes. We will send you a comprehensive list of restaurants in the local area along with your Welcome Email.

Inside the Welcome Center in the resort clubhouse you will find a list of authorized vendors. Some vendors have been banned from the resort because they leaflet drop every home which is not allowed. You may order food and then call the gatehouse at 407-397-1464 to advise that you are expecting a food delivery. Please provide the delivery person your full name and address while placing an order, so that the security officers validate this information before letting the delivery vendor in.

Do you offer babysitting services?

No we don’t. However, we can refer you to a few babysitting agencies in the area that have been used by our past guests who have given us positive feedback on their babysitting services.

If neighbors are creating a lot of noise during the resort quiet time, should I notify the Windsor Hills security guards?

Our security guards are not permitted to leave the front gate. If the neighbors are creating a lot of noise during resort quiet hours (11PM to 7AM) Please call the Sheriff at 407-348-2222. If there is an emergency please call 911.

Also, please call the Windsor Hills reception at 407-787-4255 the following day (8AM-10PM) to report the incident, so they can take it up with the owners/property management of the neighbors property.

What is your code of conduct?

The rental accommodations is situated on a resort development, which consists of both residential and vacation homes, therefore the owners, or owners agents or its representatives cannot be responsible for any ongoing construction, alterations to existing houses or any other nuisance as a result thereof on or around the housing development.
During their stay guests are responsible for the property and are expected to treat the home with care and respect as they would their own home. This includes the locking of the doors and windows each time they leave the home.
Windsor Hills Resort is a family resort, please do not play loud music or do anything likely to inconvenience or disturb the neighbors after 2300 hours and before 0700 hours. In the event that anyone in your party behaves in such a way which our management company believes is likely to cause danger or distress or annoyance to anyone else on in the resort, the owners or their management company reserve the right to terminate your stay immediately. The owners, their management or agents shall not be responsible for any costs you incur, provide any compensation nor make any refunds for this action.

How far are your properties from the Children’s playground?

Mickey Mouse Villa and Mickey Mouse Manor are just steps from the large Castle themed playground.  There are two other smaller playgrounds less than a  5 minute walk from Mickey Mouse Villa & Manor.

The condos are about a 15 minute walk or a 2 minute drive to the children’s playground.

How far are your homes from the Resort clubhouse and pool?
Is there an additional fee to use the resort amenities?

All resort amenities are free for all guests of Windsor Hills resort.

  • The Welcome Center  staff will provide assistance when Guest Relations is closed.
  • The pool area & water park must be vacated if very bad weather is expected & will not re-open for a half hour after the weather clears. This closure is at the sole discretion of the Resort Manager.
  • Resort “quiet time” is between 11PM and 7AM daily.
Can we do an early drop-off of our luggage at the resort prior to our check-in?

Unfortunately, due to liability reasons there is no provision to drop off your luggage at the resort.

I noticed that the pool area and games room / fitness center and movie theater are gated. Where do I get the code to access them?

The access code to enter the the pool area and games room, fitness center & movie theater will be posted near the entrance of the door to the respective amenity.

Is the resort pool heated?

Yes, the resort pool is heated at no extra cost during the winter months.

Can my youngest son age 8 use the giant water slides at the water park?

All users of the giant waterslides must be at least 42 inches tall, irrespective of age.

There are two smaller waterslides for children under 42 inches height.

How deep is the resort pool?

The resort pool is a zero depth entry pool. The shallowest part of the pool starts at 0 inches and the deepest part of the pool is 4ft 10 inches.

Is the resort pool open in winter?

Yes, the resort pool is open 365 days a year from 8:00AM to 10:00PM.  The pool is heated during winter months at no extra cost to our guests.

Is there an admission fee to use the water park or resort pool ?

Use of all resort amenities including the water park, resort pool  is absolutely FREE for our guests.

Guests are required to obtain wristbands from the Welcome Center in the clubhouse prior to using these amenities. Wristbands are free for all our guests and is limited to the max occupancy of your home. Please wear the wristband for the duration of your stay if you plan on using the resort amenities.

Is there a lifeguard at the resort pool?

There is NO LIFEGUARD at the pool.  Swim or play in the pool at your own risk.

Where can we rent sports equipment? How much does it cost?

Sports equipment for use at the Resort recreation area can be rented from the Welcome Center at the Resort Clubhouse for a small fee.

Only CASH is accepted for both the rental fee and the refundable deposit. In case you don’t have cash on you, there is an ATM in the clubhouse.

All equipment should be returned latest by 9PM the same day.

How do we request a Movie to be played in the Movie Theater in the clubhouse? Is there any cost associated with it?

There is no cost for requesting / watching movies in the Movie Theater.

To Select a Movie:

  • Select the movie you would like to watch from the collection of over 900 titles at the Welcome Center.
  • Provide the receptionist with the Movie Title and Code number.
  • Pick a time from the available slots to air the movie (10AM, 1PM, 4PM and 6 or 7PM)
  • Visit the Movie theater at the time selected to watch the movie.

 

You are also welcome to watch a movie that has been selected by other guests. The notice board in the Welcome Center will display the daily schedule.

Is Parking Free? Where do I get Parking Permits?

Parking in the resort is absolutely free.

You will be provided with a parking permit /access permit for each vehicle in your party when you check-in at the main gate of Windsor Hills at the beginning of your vacation. The parking permit needs to be scanned at the gate both for entry and exit from the gated community. Absolutely no tailgating allowed. The parking permit should be displayed on the dashboard at all times when your vehicle is parked in our resort.

Do you have RV / Boat parking ?

Yes. We have an oversized parking lot near the tennis courts where you can park your RVs , boats or other large vehicles that do not fit in our driveway. A permit is required & can be obtained from the Welcome Center. RVs & Campers may not be used for overnight accommodation.

Is there shuttles or buses from Windsor Hills to the parks?

There are not. You are approximately 5-7 minutes from Walt Disney World property by car.  If you prefer not to drive, ride sharing services are a greatoption as well.

One of the biggest benefits of staying “off site” is the freedom of easily coming-and-going with your own car.  You’ll find yourself getting to and from the local attractions much faster than if you were relying on resort transportation! Beware of “off site” resorts that do offer shuttles as they come with a lot of fine print, and generally only run once or twice per day!

 

 

Do I need a rental car to go around Orlando and to the theme parks?

We highly recommend using a rental car in Orlando simply for the convenience of doing things at your own pace.

If you are relying on public transport,  you could use the shuttle (fee applies) or  taxi or Uber to commute from Windsor Hills to the parks and travel To and From the airport.

If you opt to rent a car, you could either rent a car from the airport itself when you land in Orlando (we are 22 miles from MCO) or you could rent from one of the rental agencies which are less than a mile away from our home – they will pick you up from our home before your rental and drop you back home when you return the car.

What services are available within the Business Center in the Welcome Center?

You can take printouts, make photocopies and send or receive fax in the Business Center that is located within the Welcome Center.

Windsor Hills Resort is located at 2600 N Old Lake Wilson Rd, Kissimmee, FL 34747

I need to take printouts of my tickets. Are there printing facilities available nearby?

There are printing facilities available in the business center which is behind the Welcome Center in the Windsor Hills clubhouse for a fee.

There is also a UPS Store in the Formosa Gardens shopping complex which is around two miles from our home.

Are there any Golf courses nearby?

Mystic Dunes Golf Club, one of Orlando’s premier golf courses, is the very next door to Windsor Hills.  Go out the gate and turn right on Old Lake Wilson Rd. Can we use a golf cart in Windsor Hills Resort?

Yes, you may use a golf cart while you are staying in Windsor Hills Resort.

Below are the rules for use of golf carts in Windsor Hills Resort.

  • Driver MUST be a licensed driver (no kids driving under ANY circumstances) and drivers must carry their license while driving the golf cart.
  • Golf carts must be driven only on the streets and not on sidewalks or grass.
  • Golf carts may be parked on the driveway of our home or in one of the assigned parking spaces near the resort amenities. It cannot be parked on the grass, sidewalk or on the street. It should not block the sidewalk.
  • Driver must follow all laws for driving on the roads
  • Golf cart delivery company should be entered in DwellingLIVE. Hence please let us know the name of the rental company once you have booked your golf cart rental.
  • Delivery must be made after guest arrives.
  •  Golf cart should be picked up by the vendor  before 10:00 AM on the day of guest check-out.
I have seen some cars entering the resort through the rear (Livingston Road) gate. Can we use that gate?

The rear gate is for the owners of homes and certain authorized companies only. They have a special smart card that operates the gate.

The pass provided to guests operates the main gate (N Old Wilson Lake Rd) only.

Do you have Valet Trash Pickup?

For the convenience of guests, we have Valet Trash pickup every day except Wednesday and National Holidays. Trash collection begins at 7:00 am, so please put your trash out early in the morning INSIDE the bench located outside your front door. There is no street side collection. Trash must be placed in a 13 gallon trash bag. No loose trash or liquids.

Oversize or extra trash can be deposited in any of our four Community Dumpsters:

  • Corner of Comrow St. & Almaton Loop (opposite 2821 Almaton Loop in the condo area.)
  • Next to the Children’s Playground on Dinville St. (next to 2618 Dinville St)
  • Corner of Archfeld and Teascone Blvd at the hilltop.
  • In the Recreation area Parking Lot off of Comrow St. (near the Tennis Courts / Behind 2788 Almaton Loop of the condo area)
What will the weather be like when we arrive?

While we can’t guarantee exactly what the weather will be like when you stay at our home, we have a pretty clear idea based on the monthly averages courtesy of Weather.com

Please note that because of the tropical nature of Florida’s climate, rain storms can be sudden and heavy. So in the peak months of rainfall (June through September),  typically there are early afternoon showers for a short period before clearing to give superb weather.
